Jane B. Gayle, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a selfless grandmother, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 66. Jane was born on October 16, 1957, in Akron, Ohio to Joseph and Margaret Rudolph. During her lifetime, she touched the hearts of all those around her with her giving spirit and compassionate nature. Jane will be fondly remembered for her warm smile, her kind heart, and her unwavering generosity. She had a knack for making those around her feel loved and appreciated, and her absence will be greatly felt by everyone whose lives she touched.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her daughter Mary Cook and faithful dog Zoey. Jane is survived by her beloved husband, David Gayle, with whom she shared the joys and challenges of life Their love and commitment served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Jane is also survived by her two children, Judith McCarthy and James Cook (Jen); her mother Margaret Rudolph; her grandchildren Amber Miller (Cole), James Cook II, Tabitha McCarthy, Michael McCarthy (Lily), and Aiden Cook; great-grandchildren Tyshawn Stafford and Za'Kai Stafford; sisters Mary Moore (Denny) and Judy Delacruz (Chris); and brother Joseph Rudolph Jr. (Diane).
Jane B. Gayle may no longer be physically with us, but her spirit, her love, and her memories will forever live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire generations to come.
Rest in peace, dear Jane. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
