McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory - ColumbusJane Grandon, 82, of Columbus, GA died Monday, August, 25, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Bivd. Columbus, GA 31907. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Jane was born on July 29, 1943 in Columbus, GA to the late James W. Hughes and Montez Caldwell Richardson. She loved to dance the night away, cook delicious meals for her loved ones, travel to new places, and spend time caring for her puppy dogs. Most of all, Jane was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She was a member of Epworth UMC.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Thomason.
Jane is survived by her husband, John E. Grandon of Columbus, GA; sons, James Harrell (Robin), Robert Wagers, John Wilson, and daughter, Lisa Wilson Sanders, all of Columbus, Ga; along with 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Wounded Warriors Project and/or Paws Humane.
