Obituary for Jane R. Grasser

It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane R. Grasser, age 91, a cherished family member and friend. Born in Louisville, KY, Jane was a radiant soul whose warmth and wit left a lasting mark on all who knew her. For over 48 years, she stood as the devoted and loving wife of Colonel Peter G. Grasser (Ret.), proudly supporting his military service and sharing a life rich with adventure, devotion, and partnership.

A successful and respected businesswoman, Jane built a distinguished career in real estate in the Louisville area. Her dedication to her clients and passion for helping families find their homes were matched only by her sharp mind and natural charm.

Faith was the cornerstone of Jane's life. She knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was welcomed into heaven at her passing. As a member of Highview Baptist Church, she enjoyed supporting the church as well as studying with her Sunday School class.

Jane is survived by the highlight of her life, daughter, Dawn Grasser; sister, Nancy Carr (Jackie); and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, Ernest and Elton Carroll, sisters Wanda Norton and Maureen Carroll predeceased her.

A celebration of Jane's life will be held at 2pm Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Highview Baptist Church (highview.org) or Tunnels to Towers (t2t.org) in her memory.

The family is grateful to the many wonderful employees of Traditions at Beaumont, Hallmark Home Care, and Diversified Nursing for their compassion and care for Jane.
