Jane Irene Hill, age 89 of Saint Catherine, MO; passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Life Care Center of Brookfield, MO; with her daughter at her side. Jane Irene was born the daughter to Pete and Blanch (Riddle) Thompson on May 26, 1936, in Brookfield, MO. She was the 19th of 20 kids. On January 14, 1956, she married Carlon Dewayne Hill in Brookfield, MO. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2010. Jane enjoyed the outdoors, she raised gardens, had big flower beds, liked watching the hummingbirds, purple martins and bluebirds. She loved fishing, camping, and traveling with her family. Jane liked to do needle point, crafting, making doll clothes, and she loved to go to the casinos to play the slot machines. Jane was a homemaker taking care of her home, kids, and caring for her elderly parents up to their passing. She enjoyed cooking home-made meals for her family. Jane loved her family and her family meant everything to her. She will be missed by all. Jane is survived by her children, Carla Hoerrmann of Linneus, MO; Jeff Hill and wife Tammy of Saint Catherine, MO; Phillip Hill and Vicky of Newton, IA; and Brenda Emery of Maryville MO; nine grandchildren, Candy Barclay, Jarod Barclay and wife Brandy, Jeffery Hill, Tiffany Rhoden and husband Adrian, Violet McClamroch, Crystal Wise, Amy Bowe, Josh Hill, and Macee Boyle; twenty one great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren, with one on the way; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Morris and Mae Thompson; and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers, nine sisters, and one son-in-law Kendall Hoerrmann. According to Jane's wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, MO.
