Jane R. Hornfischer, 82, of Torrington, CT, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. She was the cherished wife of Glenn Hornfischer for 61 years.
Jane was born June 20, 1942, to Benjamin and Ethel (Brown) Ratcliffe and was their only child. She graduated from Torrington High School and worked at Yankee Gas for many years. Her favorite pastime was shopping for herself and family. She retired when she was 62, so she could spend quality time with her granddaughter. She was so proud of Jade and loved the time they spent together.
In addition to her husband, Glenn, she is survived by her son, Lee Hornfischer, daughter, Kim Kelly, son-in-law, Patrick Kelly, and granddaughter, Jade Kelly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
