Jane S. Howard

Jane S. Howard, 77, of Utica passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 surrounded by her family while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro on December 9, 1947 to the late Don Stuart and Vena Helm Stuart. Jane had a tremendous work history in the world of bookkeeping having worked at Owensboro National Bank, Dennis & Akers (where she was former owner), and spent 13 years as the Financial Secretary at First Christian Church where she not only served but loved her church family. She loved to travel and go camping, spending time outdoors especially on the farm, and being with her family, particularly her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Owsley; and a sister, Betty Allen.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Ron Howard; two sons, Michael (Amy) Owsley and Andrew (Erica) Owsley; two step-daughters, Brook (Brad) Youngman and Vicki (Louis) Richardson; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Ron (Mary Jane) Stuart, Jim (Sharon) Stuart, and Drex (Jo) Stuart; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at James H Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 7:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am until 10:00am at the funeral home.
