Jane Laret Obituary
Age 97 of Monroeville, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Born on October 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Rosina J. (Hubert) Parfitt, and the wife of the late George D. Laret. Jane spent her working years, working for the Pentagon in the summer of 1943, and then worked in retail for the JC Penney Catalog. She was an avid reader and was a founding member of St. Martins Episcopal Church. She is survived by her daughter, Anne R. Laret; grandchildren, Josh (Maritza) Cable, Alex, Adam, Rebecca and Isaac Parker; and great grandchild, Alex Tillery-Parker. Family and friends will be received Monday, February 5, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090. Online condolences can be shared at www.jobefuneralhome.com.
