Jane Lindsey Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davis-Struempf Funeral Home & Crematory on Feb. 21, 2026.
Martha "Jane" Lindsey, age 78, of Villa Rica passed on to her Heavenly home on February 20, 2026. Jane was a beloved mother, Nana, Great-Nana, sister, and friend.

She was born in Marietta to Norman C. Kalb, Sr. and Elzie Ruth Kalb (née Adams). She spent her childhood in Smyrna and was a long-time member of Concord Baptist Church.

Family was Jane's priority. She lovingly cared for her son, Rodney, for many years. Jane was so proud to be a great-grandmother; she dearly treasured the time she spent with Chloe and Violet. Many special memories were made at holiday get-togethers, beach trips, and trips to the mountains.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Donnie Wayne Lindsey; her son, Rodney Wayne Lindsey; and three siblings, Charles, Betty, and Doris.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Norwood (Cary) of Villa Rica; brother, Jimmy Kalb (Diane) of Smyrna; grandchildren, Brittany Young (Stephen Butler), Amanda Butler (Caleb), and Nick Norwood; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Violet; bonus great-grandchildren, Landon, Emma, and Lincoln; special grand-kitty and grand-dog, Ivy and Sophie; and many beloved extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home.

A funeral service honoring Jane's life will be held Wednesday, February 25, 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Richard Wilkins officiating.

Interment will follow the service at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.

In her free time, Jane loved cheering for the UGA Bulldog's and Chase Elliott. The family asks that anyone attending the service honor Jane by wearing UGA memorabilia and/or Red & Black.

Flowers are kindly accepted; however, in lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 4494 Floyd Rd SW, Mableton, GA 30126.

For anyone wishing to view the service virtually, a livestream link will be available at the above-listed service time on Jane's Tribute Wall at https://www.davisstruempf.com.
