Samuel Lawrence "Sam" Busby

Mr. Samuel "Sam" Lawrence Busby, 54, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Emory Midtown Hospital.

Sam was born January 16, 1972 in Douglasville, Georgia, the son of Rosalee Traylor Busby and the late Steve Busby. He was a contractor for CG Langford Construction, LLC. He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing and cherished the peaceful moments spent by the water's edge. Sam was always working on a project. He liked cooking and grilling for family and friends. What Sam loved most, was spending time with his family and buddies. He will be missed by many who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Iverson Busby.

Sam is survived by his wife of thirty one years, Angie Duckett Busby of Villa Rica, mother, Rosalee Traylor Busby of Villa Rica, daughter and fiancée, Nicole Busby and Rae Robinson of Villa Rica, son, Bryce Busby of Villa Rica, siblings, Rita Morgan of Douglasville, Rebecca Busby of Villa Rica, brother-in-law, Darrell Duckett of Dahlonega, two grandchildren, Nevaeh Parham, Kinleigh Robinson and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at J. Collins Funeral Home.

Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of J. Collins Funeral Home with Father Jeff Jackson officiating. Bryce Busby will deliver the eulogy.
