Jane Makar Obituary

Jane E. Makar, age 101, of Willowick, passed away on October 15, 2023. She was born on March 20, 1922 in East Liverpool, OH to the late Charles and Barbara Rigot.Jane led a vibrant and fulfilling life, with her unwavering dedication to her family, and her faith. As a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church for almost 50 years, she cherished her role as a member and organizer of the widows' club and found solace in the companionship they provided. Jane had a passion for card games, particularly bridge, and her grandchildren were always eager to visit their grandma for countless hours of card-playing fun. Jane's greatest joy though was spending time with her family. Throughout the years, she meticulously organized numerous family events and gatherings, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured by her loved ones. Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Jane was the beloved wife of the late James Makar; loving mother of Mary Husek (John), Patricia Lubinsky (James), and the late Gregory Makar; proud grandmother of 13; caring great-grandmother of 34; and cherished sister of 7 (all deceased).A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Mary Magdalene Church 32114 Vine Street Willowick, OH 44095. Private burial to be held at Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.Arrangements entrusted to Monreal Srnick Funerals and Cremations.
