WYNANTSKILL- Jane T. Mamone, 89, wife of the late Joseph Mamone, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones on February 8th, 2026.
Jane attended St. Lawrence Grammar School and later Catholic Central High school, class of 1953. Following graduation, she worked at Manory’s in Troy. This is where she later met Joseph, who she married, and they had seven children together. Later in life, she worked for Samaritan Hospital for 15 years. After working for Samaritan, she worked for the law firm of Lee, Leforestier, & Hanft. Jane later retired from the law firm of Richard Hanft.
Jane had many pastimes including the Wynantskill Senior Meetings, trips to the casinos, and attending shows at Proctors Theatre. She was a devoted Yankees fan and knew all the players numbers. Jane had many adventures with Dolores, Gina, Mary, and many other friends. After a long day, Jane could be found watching her game shows often surrounded by her family. Above all, Jane loved her family and spending time with them. She especially enjoyed her time as a grandmother.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Mamone and their sons, Joseph and Paul. As well as her parents, Albert and Madeline Pasinella. Her siblings, Mary (Louis) Cioffi, Louis Pasinella, Inez Pasinella, Rose Pasinella, Angela Hulihan, and Albert (Betsy) Pasinella. Her in-laws, Dominic, John, and Mary Mamone.
Jane is survived by her children, Salvatore (Sandy) Mamone, John (Susan) Mamone, Albert Mamone, Anthony (Roseanna) Mamone, and Stephen (Annmarie) Mamone. Her grandchildren, Stefanie, Nicholas, Andrew (Shelley), Gabrielle, Christina (Andrew), Stephen (Lauren), and Amelia. Her siblings, Frances (The late Fred) Bliss and Elizabeth (William) Reohr. As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at 9:30am at St. Anthonys of Padua Church, 28 State St, Troy, NY 12180 with burial to immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 79 Brunswick Rd, Troy, NY 12180.
Donations may be made in Jane's name to the North Greenbush Ambulance Association P.O. Box #99 Wynantskill, NY 12198
