Jane Mathis, 83, of Clemmons, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2026, at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.
Ms. Mathis was born on December 7, 1942 in Winston-Salem, NC, to the late Robert McDaniel and Grace Long McDaniel.
She retired from Davie Construction Company in Bermuda Run, was a devoted member of Bible Baptist Church in Clemmons, and loved her church family dearly.
In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Bill McDaniel; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Williams.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Williams and Tommy McDaniel (Linda); three sons, Stacey Mathis (Larissa) of Lewisville, NC, Daymon Mathis of Clemmons, NC, and Chris Willard (Robin) of Winston-Salem, NC; seven grandchildren, Molly Urbina (Victor), Noah Mathis, Caleb Mathis, Ashleigh Oldson (Dusty), Lucas Willard (Haley), Austin Willard (Marissa) and Christian Willard; and eight great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is also survived by a very special, lifelong friend, Louise Sams.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Ritchey officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Reynolda Road Senior Living and SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin for their compassion and care during and after Jane’s illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 6350 Styers Ferry Road, Clemmons, NC 27012, or SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 N. Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
