Jane Rankin McPhail, 81, wife of the late John Stephen McPhail, of Seneca, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House, in Anderson, SC.
A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. McPhail was the daughter of the late Walter Eugene and Irene Chamblin Rankin. She was a retired kindergarten teacher with the SDOC and a member of Seneca Presbyterian Church. Mrs. McPhail took great joy in her family and enjoyed spending quality time with them.
Mrs. McPhail is survived by a son: John Stephen McPhail, II (Jessica); a daughter: Kelley McPhail Ryan (Mike); grandchildren: Samantha Anne McPhail, John Greyson McPhail, Logan Claire McPhail, Kaylen Ryan, and Madilyn Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McPhail is preceded in death by a daughter: Stephanie Chamblin McPhail.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home, with entombment to follow at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, prior to the service on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home.

The family is at their respective homes.
