Charles Barker Obituary
Born and raised in Oconee County, SC, Chuck was the son of Norma Wooten Southerland and the late William Clinton "Bill" Barker. He completed West Oak High School but proudly bragged about being the Walhalla High School Razorback mascot when he was in school. Chuck was a longtime resident of The Tribble Center, where he worked and formed lifelong friendships with both staff members and fellow residents. He was known for being a Clemson Tiger fan, having everyone on speed dial and taking great pride in his work at Schneider Electric. Chuck's faith was strong, and it guided his life, bringing him comfort and purpose. Chuck and his phone calls will be terribly missed by his surrounding community.
In addition to his mother, Chuck is survived by his brother: Walter C. Barker; niece: Bella Barker; and his Tribble Center family.
In addition to his father, Chuck is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Davenport Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to The Tribble Center https://www.thetribblecenter.com/donate.
The family will be at their respective homes.
