Harry Barker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Davenport Funeral Home, Inc. - Walhalla/West Union on Feb. 14, 2026.
Harry Anthony Barker, Papa, was born on November 16,1956, he was preceded in death by his father Ralph Barker and his brother Brian Barker. He is survived by his mother Jorene Barker and brothers, Charlie Ralph Barker and Roger Keith Barker.

For 26 years he was the devoted husband of Terri Kay Campbell Barker. Together they raised their children and spoiled their grandchildren as they built a life in Flowery Branch Georgia.

He is the proud father of 4 children, Michelle Barker Jordan, Jessica Tyler Lee, (Mickey) Kristina Kay Widdifield, (Samuel) Leslie Clare Stein, (Alexander). His legacy continues with 13 grandchildren Barbara Mackenzie Jordan, Breanna Cassidy Corpus, Matthew Shayde Jordan, Spencer Keegan Jordan, Kristen Alexander Lee, Jimi Tyler Lee, Riley Lynn Widdifield, Alley Kay Widdifield, Beau Widdifield, Oliver Widdifield, Goldie Elizabeth Stein, Birdie Eloise Stein, Sunday Wells Stein, (Alexander Bear Stein) and 2 great-grandchildren Eliza Rae Corpus and Ezra Mae Corpus, whom he loved fiercely and unconditionally.

He was a calm voice of reason in a world full of girls. He was the handyman, the craft maker, the keeper of the RV, the hunter, the fisher, and playmate. You could find him playing trains on the floor, building crafts in the basement, doing all things camping, or shooting guns in the back yard with his grandchildren. He lived by the words "keep on keeping on." His strong faith in God guided every part of his life, giving him peace, purpose, and strength through every challenge. He loved Jesus, who holds him now, with all his heart, soul, and strength. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a loving man.

His memorial service will be held at Davenport Funeral Home in West Union, SC on February 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM.

Following the memorial, we will have lunch at Rocky Knoll Baptist Church 970 Highlands Hwy, Walhalla, SC 29691.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to F.A.I.T.H., INC., in Rabun County Georgia.
