Linda Albertson Williamon, 87, wife of the late Ronald Lee Williamon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Asheville, NC, after a long illness.

Linda was born in West Union, SC on January 29, 1938, to the late Samuel Frank Albertson, Sr., and Ollie Pearl Head Albertson. She was a proud member of the Walhalla High School class of 1955. She married "the best-looking man I ever saw" in 1956 and dedicated her life to raising a family in the Christian faith. She learned how to work hard from her small business owner parents, and passed that trait on to all her children. Linda loved Elvis Presley and gospel music, and was an accomplished pianist who loved having all her children join in singing on the church platform.

Linda spent many years as a family caregiver to her mother, father, and aunt. Her dedication to their well-being was exemplary. Her life was always brightened by the presence of grandchildren, and she always remembered their birthdays and Christmas with gifts and greetings. Many "pretty things" caught Linda's eye as she and Ron "loafered" and traveled the flea market circuit. These items were carefully and lovingly displayed on many shelves in their home. And Lord help the random weed that happened to show up in her perfect lawn and garden, or the son-in-law that turned down a second big helping of homemade pie.

Linda lived life well, shaped by her unique strengths, quirks, and interests. We started missing her years ago as her mental faculties faded. But her memory is cherished by many who are so proud to have known her, and are grateful for all that she gave this world.

Linda is survived by her daughters: Debbie Farrell (Len), Sandy McCrary (Robert), Sharon Bahadur (Mark); son: Aaron Williamon; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son: Samuel "Mark" Williamon; and siblings: Eunice McGruder, Inez Smith, Joe Ed Murphree, and J.B. "Buddy" Murphree, and Samuel Frank Albertson, Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Oconee Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the graveside at 11:00 AM at Davenport Funeral Home.
