Jane M. (Davidson) Moreau, 80, of Mattapoisett, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael B. Moreau Sr., with whom she shared 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2019.
Jane was born on February 16, 1945, in Harlingen, Texas, where her father was stationed during World War II. She was the daughter of Herbert W. Davidson Jr. and Helen M. (Tucker) Davidson. Jane lived most of her life in Mattapoisett and was a graduate of Old Rochester Regional High School.
She worked for the family business, Davidson's Meat Products, for 25 years. Following a merger, she continued her career with Luzo Food Service for another 15 years. For the remainder of her working years, Jane was employed at the Bay Club in Mattapoisett, where she worked until her retirement.
Jane loved boating and spent many happy years on the water with her husband Mike, their family, and many friends. She especially enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home. Jane also had a deep love for music and dancing, which brought her great joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her sons, Michael B. Moreau Jr. and his wife Erin, and their children Hunter, Derek, and Blake, all of Mattapoisett; and Brett D. Moreau and his wife Kellie, and his daughters Rebecca and Gabrielle, also of Mattapoisett. She is also survived by her brother James W. Davidson Sr., his son James ("Jimmy") Davidson Jr. and his wife Kara, and their son Cooper; her brother Andrew Davidson and his wife Debra; as well as many cousins and their families.
In addition to her husband, Jane was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Sheila Davidson, wife of James W. Davidson Sr.
Her Memorial Visitation will be held Monday, January 12, 2026 from 1-4 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett.
