Mulford, Jane C. "Janie" (O'Donnell) of Hanover, died July 20, 2023.
Janie adored her family and was the best wife, mother, nana, sister, friend and teacher. Janie was nurturing, loving, thoughtful, hard working, determined, strong, funny and will be greatly missed. Words cannot express how much Janie was loved by all who were lucky to know her.
She worked as a kindergarten teacher for 37 years for Boston Public Schools, and retired at Franklin D. Roosevelt School in Hyde Park. She loved working with children and made a big impact on their lives. Some students still kept in touch with her until her passing.
Loving daughter of the late Timothy and Mary O'Donnell. Beloved wife and soul mate of 49 years to Porter G. Mulford of Hanover. Cherished mother of Christine Mulford of Hanover and Reenie Mizejewski and her husband Billy of Asheville, NC. Loving sister of Patricia Carroll of Quincy and the late Bud O'Donnell and Ann McGrath. Devoted Nana of Alaia and Maia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Janie was truly the kindest, gentlest, most selfless woman who always put others before herself. She passed peacefully while surrounded by her family. Janie was an angel on earth and now she is an angel in Heaven watching over us.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-7 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday in St. Mary's Church, Hanover, at 9 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Janie may be made to the National MS Society, PO Box #91891, Washington, D.C. 20090-1891, https://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate.

Jane was the best- she was one of the strongest and most caring women I´ve known! Also- she was a great teacher and colleague to me and my mom, Jean, and great friend to my dad Joe. She will be missed by so many. Thinking of her family now, as they are experiencing a huge loss. Sending strength and love.
