Jane B. Nin, age 64, of Downingtown, PA, USA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 3, 2023 while vacationing in Costa Rica. Born on March 19, 1959 in Penn, Buckinghamshire, England, she was a daughter of the late Alan Nin and Margaret (Hibberd) Claridge.
Jane was a graduate of John Willmott Grammar School, class of 1977. She continued her education at Birmingham University College of Food, in the United Kingdom, completing her degree in home economics. She worked for many years at Marks & Spencer Head office in London, as a Food Selector, responsible for developing new ready-prepared meals from single kitchen samples through to large scale production. She was also responsible for the packaging and food photography. She was a pioneer in the U.K in developing dishes that could be heated in the microwave within their packaging. She spent much of her life traveling and moving with her then-husband and their family, around the world: throughout England, Dubai, Pennsylvania and Venezuela. Jane bravely gave birth to their three children on three separate continents!
Jane was an avid traveler, gardener, chef, baker and adventurer. She thoroughly enjoyed hosting friends for themed dinner parties, being together with her children, doing arts and crafts and playing make-believe with her three granddaughters, as well as gathering with family and friends from all corners of the world. She dedicated many years of her life to charity and volunteer work, and had a strong desire to help those in need. Of particular note, Jane poured a lot of loving energy into Veniños, Venezuelan children in Need, which she co-founded with friend, Lisa Tylee, to benefit street-children and ophans in Venezuela. Jane will be remembered for her infectious laugh, youthful and giggly disposition, bright and endless, bountiful energy, and the loyal, loving warmth which she extended to all with who she came in contact.
Jane is survived by her three children: Rebecca, wife of Stephen Longenecker Jr., Samuel, husband of Megan, and William; three granddaughters, Eva, Elisabeth, and Edith; one sister, Jill, wife of David Durnell; and a niece and nephew, Charlotte and Christopher.
A funeral service will take place in the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Friday, August 4th at 11:00am EST, with time for visitation with the family at 10am. Officiating will be Rev. Ben Capps. Burial will be held privately. Please be in direct contact with Jane's family if you make plans to attend the service in person. Dress code: no black please! In the spirit of celebrating Jane's life, the family request that dress code be colourful.
As Jane has a great deal of family and friends in the United Kingdom, a live and recorded virtual link will be shared https://www.facebook.com/StAndrewsChesco for those who are unable to be present in Pennsylvania on the date of her service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Opportunity House ( https://opphouse.org/ ) or, for U.K friends and family, to Sophie's Legacy ( https://www.sophieslegacy. co.uk/ ).
Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville, PA. Condolences may be offered online at www. PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.

Jane was an active member of the social committee who zealously worked to improve the PMC homeowner experience and to bring the community together. She was instrumental in creating a series of wellness related activities bringing to PMC speakers to educate and instructors to improve the communities overall health and vitality. Jane's contributions and zest for life were greatly appreciated and will be missed by all.

I am very sad to learn of the passing of Jane. She was a vital member of our PMC Social Committee and always appeared to be the picture of health and vitality. She was always very gracious and pleasant to me and was someone I had hoped to get to know much better over time. She will be very missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Jane´s family. Although I´ve only known Jane for about 2 years, I feel truly blessed to have known and to have worked with Jane on PMC´s social committee and in the PMC community and will miss her dearly. Her contributions were so significant and are a huge loss for PMC´s social committee and the PMC community.
