Jane E. Paul, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 19, 1938 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana to the late Von and Ruehamah Klamer Carnahan. Jane worked as a bookkeeper and retired from Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, Owensboro in 2000. She was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher and was a current member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church. Jane was a member of Peggy Grossman Women on Mission and was a volunteer missionary in Brazil, Kenner, Louisiana, and many other places. Jane was past president of the Pilot Club and taught English to Chinese immigrants.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kent Carnahan and Keith Carnahan; and sisters-in-law, Cindy Carnahan and Phyllis Stucke.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry G. Paul; children, Rhonda Paul , Rebecca Paul Burton (Steve), and Ron Paul; five grandchildren, Chris Burton (Amanda), Meagan Burton Broerman (Ben), Paul Burton, Kali Paul, and Emily Paul; six great-grandchildren, Emmie, Easton, Amelia, Elise, Thomas, and Margaret; brothers-in-law, Harold Paul (Judy) and John Paul (Pam); and several nieces and nephews and extended family who will love and miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
