Jane Richardson Pearson, age 96, of Marshfield, formerly of Concord, passed away on October 21, 2025.
Born in Greenwich, CT on May 14, 1929, she grew up in Concord, MA, graduated from the then Concord High School. She completed her education becoming a certified Lab Technician from Colby Jr. College. After several years living in Carlisle, then Waltham, she went on to teach Biology at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School, followed by a post retirement job with a law firm in Newton, MA. When she retired fully in 1995, she moved to her beloved home four blocks from the beach in Brant Rock, Marshfield MA.
Jane loved gardening, cats, the ocean, bird watching, swimming, her church choir and, in her earlier days, travel. This included an African Safari and a month-long barebones camping expedition in Wyoming. Her friends were of great value to her and she cherished everyone their involvement in her life. She would downplay her impact on them, but every one of them, as could, turned out for her 90th birthday celebration several years ago. She will be sorely missed by all.
She is survived by her dedicated daughter, Merrill (Bill) Bloor of Plymouth MA and was also the mother of the late Thomas and Michael Pearson. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Judy Pearson and Carolyn (Ed) Jackson, her grandchildren, Michelle (Jerry) Bissonette, Michael (Shana) Pearson and Emily (Mark) Gravelle. She also leaves nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and nine nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved sons, she is also predeceased by her wonderful parents, Laurence and Anne Richardson and her dear sisters Barbara Keyes and Nancy Carr.
Relatives and friends will celebrate Jane's life during a memorial service at St. John the Evangelist Church, 410 Washington Street, Duxbury, MA on Saturday, November 8th at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception. Private interment will follow on Sunday, November 9th at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, MA for family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to the Standish Humane Society, P.O. Box 634, Duxbury, MA 02331, or the Mass Audubon Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary, c/o Development Office, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
