Jane F. Rinehart

Jane "Susie" Dellone Rinehart, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Well Span York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Keith L. Rinehart.
Susie lived an interesting life and worked many different jobs, including as a waitress, a sewing machine operator, and a cook, until she was fired for falling into the mashed potatoes. She also worked at Wal-Mart, H.J. Williams, where she helped put down blacktop, and Harold H. Hogg, where she helped to demolish and build homes. She worked with her son John doing concrete work, worked in a box factory and eventually retired from Columbia Gas, where she put in gas lines, read meters and worked on the street service operating a jack hammer.
She loved to paint and won several blue ribbons for her paintings at the York Fair. She also loved spending time with her friends at York North Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Susie had a colorful and vibrant personality and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by five children, James Keith Rinehart, Denver LaMar Rinehart, Tina Marie Rinehart, Keith "Kee Kee" Lamar Rinehart, and John Ratchford; step daughter, Kimberly Dorsey, as well as many grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannie; son, Charles "Chuck" Ratchford; brother, Jospeh Michael Dellone and sister-in-law, Jolene Dellone.
A graveside service to celebrate Susie's life will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Dallastown Union Cemetery.
