Jane Rubens

Brighton – Passed away on February 10, 2024 at age 95. Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Leonard Rubens; her son, Peter Rubens; parents, Yetta and Isadore Waldman; and Morris and Jean Fischbein her aunt and uncle; and Marjorie Gootnick, her cousin. Jane is survived by son, Jim (Jami); daughter-in-law, Lisa; grandsons, Jacob (Catherine), Jonathan (Kara), Jared, and Eli; great-granddaughters, Saoirse, Elowen and Leni; niece, Shelley Waldman, and other nieces and nephews; very special cousin, Linda Rubens; her quasi – adopted family, Francine, Steve and Elijah Barnett; and the Community and Staff at The Summit at Brighton.
Jane was an avid tennis player, snowshoer, walker, and biker, and when those activities became too difficult, she became an avid bridge and other card game player. She attended Hood College and later worked in marketing research. Jane was also a voracious reader.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at Temple B'rith Kodesh, 2131 Elmwood Avenue. Donations may be made to Brighton Memorial Library at Brightonlibrary.org and Jewish SeniorLife Foundation (for the library at the Summit) at jslfoundation.org.
