JANE C. SCHMIDT
Jane C. Schmidt, 80, Centralia, MO formerly of St. Charles, County, MO passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 13, 1943, in St. Charles, MO the daughter of the late William and Helen (Williams) Schuman. On February 4, 1961, she was united in marriage to William “Bill” Schmidt.
In addition to her husband Bill of 63 years, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son Doug Schmidt and his wife Cathy of Gerald, MO; one daughter Lindy Schmidt and Brooke of Columbia, MO; a daughter in law Rosel Schmidt of Centralia, MO; one sister Jean Aubuchon and her husband Jerry of Troy, MO; nine grandchildren Matt Schmidt and his wife Demi, Mike Schmidt and his wife Courtney, Marc Schmidt and his wife Shannon, Mitch Schmidt and his wife Brady, Jon Schmidt and his wife Mikayla, Ben Schmidt and his wife Cortanie, Jake Hawks and his wife Andrea, Cody Hawks and his wife Lexi and Emily Brekhus and her husband Brendan; nine great grandchildren Gage, Gunner, Maizey, Levi, Easton, Fletcher, Noah, Beau and Caden; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends In addition to her parents, an infant daughter Donna Schmidt, her son Bryan Schmidt and one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Jane first worked as a beautician, then a bus driver, and later as a driving instructor for the Missouri State Highway Patrol. She served as Western District County Commissioner for St. Charles County for several years and was a member of the Francis Howell Booster Club and the Centralia High School School Board. She enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with her friends and family, especially all of her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Centralia High School in Centralia, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Centralia High School in Centralia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bryan Schmidt Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
