Jane Shepard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home on Nov. 22, 2023.
CONCORD --- Jane A. (Bean) Shepard, 89, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
Jane was born on March 6, 1934 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Gordon F. and Alice (Powell) Bean. She grew up on a farm in Belmont and then lived at 33 Winter St. in Laconia for close to 70 years.
Janie, affectionately known as "Grammy", loved to cook. She cooked for her family and friends at her large holiday gatherings, was known to have a fondue party or two, or just a barbeque on a random Sunday afternoon. She had a very generous heart, often giving away her own possessions and gifts to friends and family. Being a "Grammy" and a "GG" was her heart's desire and being with her family and friends meant so much to her, as it did to all of us.
Jane leaves behind her only child, Peter Bissonnette and his wife Beth Bissonnette of Laconia; two grandsons, Mathew Bissonnette and his wife Amber of Belmont and Ian Bissonnette of Laconia; and a great-granddaughter Hannah of Belmont. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Charlotte Bean of Belmont. In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Shepard and was the last of her 4 siblings to pass away.
Per Jane's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
There will be a private graveside gathering of immediate family as she is laid to rest with her husband, Bob, who served in the U.S Army, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
