Jane Tibbetts (Savard), loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, & friend comfortably entered eternal rest October 21, 2024.
Born on June 1, 1954 in Lowell, MA, she lived there for the first part of her life; working in the mills as a young girl. She was devoted to her family and initiating intergenerational change. Her profound impact will continue to be seen and felt in all those she loved. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren, and always desired the best for each of them. She remained committed to her faith and Catholic identity throughout her life, often sharing religious effects with those around her. Jane loved spending time at the family home in Sebago Lake, where she could slow down and see “the way life should be.” It was here she met some of her dearest friends.
Jane met her devoted husband when her boys David, Leo, Timothy, and Peter were young. Often joking that he passed the ultimate test of her bodyguards before he was allowed to meet her. Catherine & Edward Jr. completed the family that she so lovingly raised, supported, and loved unconditionally. Jane & Ed worked as a team, always putting the needs of all the children at the forefront of their marriage.
Jane had the ability to make every moment feel special. Always willing to give of herself, those who were lucky to know her will remember her terms of endearment; often full of colorful language, her special treasures; which she called any small thing she gave to someone, her long conversations that lasted until dawn, her “last hugs,” watching the trees dance, and her “razzle dazzle days.” Her compassionate heart will continue to live on in all those she was blessed to love.
She is survived by her devoted husband; Edward W. Tibbetts of Stoneham, MA. Her children Leo L Welch, Timothy Welch, Peter Welch, Catherine Tibbetts, & Edward Tibbetts Jr. Grandchildren Alicia, David, Timothy, Peter, Harry and great-granddaughter Skylar. Her sister Rose Thompson and many nieces and nephews with which she shared a treasured relationship, some who were like sons & daughters to her.
Jane was predeceased by her son David L Welch. Her siblings Rita (Snook) Hood, Maurice (Butch) Savard, & Dennis Savard.
