Jane Tucker

Jane Tucker, age 63, of Hillsboro, passed away after a battle with cancer on January 21, 2026 at Highland District Hospital. She was born the daughter of the late Richard and Lois (Kraus) Tucker on October 17, 1962 in Loveland. Jane was a woman who found her greatest joy outdoors, especially in the company of horses. She loved riding horses and spending time on the horse farm, where she felt most at peace. Whether in the saddle or caring for the animals she cherished, Jane was happiest surrounded by the life and beauty of the farm. Above all else, Jane loved her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them, always offering love and warmth. Jane also took pride in her time at home, enjoying simple pleasures like riding the mower. She is survived by her daughters, Christina Ader of Pennsylvania and Kayse Roberts of Hillsboro; adopted daughter, Priscilla Collins of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Kamryn Sowards, Hunter Sowards, Naudia Conover, and Kayli Jacquay; siblings, Joel (Becky) Tucker of Batavia and Toni Pelfrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Waylon Sowards; her sister Terri; and her life partner, Michael Ellenburg. In keeping with her wishes, Jane will be cremated.
