Jane Colleen (Northcutt) Tyler, 84, died February 28, 2026 at Manor of the Plains in Dodge City. She was born on April 27, 1942 in Syracuse, the daughter of Loren and Rosalie (Perry) Northcutt.
Jane was a lifetime resident of Copeland, graduating from Copeland High School in 1959. She attended one year of college at Emporia State College with a focus on business classes. Jane was united in marriage to Dale Tyler on July 23, 1961. They farmed together north of Copeland. She enjoyed being with family, especially with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jane and Dale attended as many of their grandchildren's activities as possible and would travel north for activities as often as they could.
Jane kept busy with the farm, raising her family, sewing, spoiling grandchildren and great-grandchildren, volunteering at school events, church and Hospice. She also greatly enjoyed her many friends and acquaintances as well as the many kids brought home by her children to join the family.
Jane is survived by her three children, Duane Tyler and wife Svetlana of Lewisville, Texas, Curtis Tyler of Copeland, Amy Jo (Tyler) Bergan and husband Kevin of Elkader, Iowa; grandchildren, Alexey Tsybanov, Kayley Tyler, Zachary Tyler (Jhoryn Hernandez), Derek Bergan, Mitchell Bergan, Mariah Bergan, Kelsey Bergan Schutte, (Mark), and Kayla Bergan Rupard (Tim); and two great grandchildren, Ebbi Tyler and Hatti Tyler. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her parents; sister, JoAnne (Fleming); and brother, Loren Dee Northcutt.
Funeral Services will be held at Copeland Methodist Church on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. with Doug Harris presiding. Burial will follow at Copeland Cemetery.
