Jane Veale Obituary
A lifelong resident of the Athens area, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey Aycock and Etta Pauline Butler Aycock. Jane retired from the University of Georgia and was a longtime member of Temple United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Veale; son, Jimmy Veale and sister, Ann Peters.
Survivors include her sisters, Betty Clark; Nell Hailey (Freddy) and Elaine Saye and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 1:30 pm at Temple United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Rearden, Rob Rearden, Steve Saye, Freddy Hailey, Bob Rearden and Joe Haley. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple United Methodist Church in Arnoldsville.
