Jane E. Willey, 97, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 6:05 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family. She was born on September 2, 1928, the beloved daughter of the late Herman and Margaret (Good) Duemmel.

Jane was the treasured matriarch of her family and a vibrant inspiration to her 25 nieces and nephews. She was known for her famous fruit pies—though family debates still linger over whether apple, peach, or lemon deserves top honors—her infectious giggle, and her zest for travel, especially exploring new places aboard cruise ships.

Throughout her life, Jane exemplified dedication and service. She retired as an order editor at General Electric and later devoted over 20 years to the hospitality shop at Genesis Hospital. She served as Vice President of the National Secretary’s Group, was an active member of the American Business Women’s Association, and remained a faithful member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Susan Willey, and three brothers: Bob (Florence) Duemmel, David (Dixie) Duemmel, and Richard (Shelia) Duemmel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Clarence (Joy) Duemmel; and three sisters: Bonnie (Dean) Applegate, Margy Duemmel, and Ruth (Ronnie) Swope.

Friends and family may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Jane will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
