Janella Kammin Obituary
A Celebration of Life service will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at the Iowa Arboretum & Gardens, 1875 Peach Avenue, Madrid, Iowa 50156.
Janella was born on October 19, 1942, in Ames, Iowa to Ralph and Lois Dodds Cowan. She graduated from United Community High School in Jordan, Iowa in 1961. She married Jerry Kammin, on December 2, 1962, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone. They were blessed with two children; Jerry Dean Jr. (JD)and Jody.
She was a very active farm wife. Some of her hobbies included working in her flower garden, enjoying college basketball and attending her grandkid's activities.
Janella is survived by her son; JD (Jane), of Boone, daughter; Jody (Troy) of Huxley, and grandchildren; Colton, Brady, Colby, Kiley and Kinsey. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jerry Kammin.
Please consider a memorial to the Iowa Arboretum or TTT of Boone, Chapter EU in lieu of flowers or plants. Mom has left us all with her beautiful flower garden to enjoy. Feel free to park at the farm to carpool and take a stroll through her flower garden. She loved to share the beauty of her flowers with others.

I was so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Mom (Dode) thought so much of your Mom. She always greeted us with her pretty smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today and in the days ahead.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss of your Mom she was such a kind woman who will be missed by everyone who knew her. I have great memories of riding in the back of your Mom's farm truck riding from field to field bean walking. I always got a hug when I saw your Mom & she always had a smile on her face.
