Janet Lynn Bacon Harrison, 58, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on December 2, 2024. Born on October 22, 1966, Janet was known for her vibrant personality and her love of the beach. She graduated from Bryan Station High School and later attended the University of Kentucky.
Janet was a woman of many passions, including crocheting, knitting, shopping, cooking, and excelling as a nurse assistant. She cherished her time spent at the beach and valued every moment with her family. Janet is remembered for her sense of humor and her ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her, especially during tough times. Her love of big hair, makeup, and sunglasses matched her larger-than-life personality. Although Janet suffered from pain for much of her life, she is now pain-free and dancing in heaven.
She leaves behind a loving family: her mother, Sharon Bacon; her father, Horace Bacon; her sister, Sandy Bacon Regan; her son, Brandon Bishop; her daughter, Jessica Harrison; and her grandsons, Orion and Ivan Bishop. Janet's family was the centerpiece of her life, especially her father. She deeply cherished her role as a mother and grandmother.
A visitation will be held, followed by a service to celebrate her life. The visitation will take place at Christ-Centered Church, located at 2275 Eastland Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky, on December 14, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11 AM, with the service following at 12:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Lexington Humane Society in her memory, honoring her love for animals, particularly her dog, Zoey. Janet's legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
Care Cremation and Funeral Service is honored to be entrusted with final care.
