Janet Bailey Obituary
Born August 3, 1937, in Trinidad, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Micheal Workman and Julia Mande Dabney Moore of Trinidad, Colorado. She had 6 children (2 deceased), 11 grandchildren (1 deceased) and 8 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Truman Bailey, 1 stepdaughter Julie Bailey Fulkerson and husband Eric Fulkerson, 1 stepson Mike Bailey, her sister Julie Storm, 3 daughters Debby Van Matre of Bullhead City, Arizona, Kelly Jordan and husband Robert Jordan of Villa Park, CA, Nancy Jones and husband Troy Brown of Fort Mohave, AZ and 1 son Bruce Elton Van Matre of Colorado City, CO from her previous marriage of 46 years to Bruce Dale Van Matre.
Janet loved to sew and embroider. She loved collecting Barbie dolls and getting together with her Red Hat Ladies group. She was active at playing Canasta every Tuesday. Janet was a 45+-year member of The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution organization.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held by her daughters and son at a future date TBD.

Momma, I miss you so much. I can´t call and tell you everything I have been doing. I´m writing kids books and songs. I think you would really like them. I miss being able to call you and make you laugh. I know you are in heaven and I will see you again. I hope you can hear the song I wrote for you when I play it. Love you momma!!!!!!

What a wonderful lady Janet was.. We both enjoyed RedHats and attended as often as could. She had a heart of gold and a smile worth millions. I enjoyed the opportunity of sharing beautiful memories .She always thought of others. She gave men a plaque that said. "Not friends by blood but friends by Heart.We had a lot in common for instance we both loved doing Arts and Crafts, Canasta, Depressure glass her favorite was Vaseline glass. I don't Ibelieve she ever said anything derogatory about anyone Whenever she received new pictures of her daughters and grandchild she always shared with me and told how proud she was loved of each and everyone. I miss her so much. But there will come a day that we can pick up where we lost.

Poem to my Mom in Heaven
Thank you for teaching me how to sew
How to cook and clean, and help me grow
You were always kind to others
You were an inspiration to me as a mother
Even through all the health issues you experienced these last years
You always had positive thoughts on your mind and never any tears
Never complaining, always moving ahead in time
You were a wonderful mother and grandmother to your kids and mine
I miss you so much now, even more than before
My greatest regret is that I didn´t visit you more
Now I can only live out my days being positive as you did
Until I see you again in Heaven, with love and admiration, your #4 kid
