Janet Lynn Bebb, 76, of Mancelona, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at her home. She was born on January 26, 1947, in Greenfield, OH, the daughter of Allen and Lorita (Garringer) Bebb.
Janet graduated from Miami Trace High School in Ohio and went on to earn an associates degree from North Texas University. She worked as a bookkeeper for several manufacturing companies over the years in Texas and Michigan. She moved permanently to Mancelona in the 1990’s which she has called home ever since. She also worked part-time for several years at Carter’s Candles in Alden.
Janet enjoyed spending time chatting with friends at the Community Lighthouse resale shop in Mancelona. She also liked to go on drives around the area with her dog, as well as taking care of her cats. She collected ceramic pigs, and was known to be quite the jokester.
Janet is survived by her son, Roger (Janice) McDaniel; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Brian, Christina, Josh, Samantha, Shane, and Nick; thirteen great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Ronald Oyer; her sister-in-law, Jodi Bebb; her niece, Rhonda Oyer; and her nephew, Dan Oyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marilyn Oyer; and her brother, Dean Bebb.
Janet’s family will celebrate her life privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mancelona Community Lighthouse.
