Janet Susan Behrens Macaluso

Janet Susan Behrens Macaluso, 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, in Bothell, Washington, surrounded by her loving family.
Janet was born on April 30, 1958, in Anaheim, California, to Bernie and Mary Behrens. She attended St. Justin Martyr School, Trident Junior High, and Loara High School, where she was a member of the Courtiers flag team. She earned her bachelor's degree in communication at California State University, Fullerton, while working as a tour guide at Disneyland. She married Randy Mills in 1981 and welcomed two children.
Janet fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and enjoyed raising her family in Woodinville, Washington. She was incredibly organized and meticulous, and excelled in her career as an executive assistant and in cherished hobbies like quilting and gardening. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching romantic comedies, and trying new restaurants with the love of her life, Don Macaluso, whom she met in 2004 and married in 2015. Janet's greatest joy was becoming a grandmother in 2016.
She will be remembered for her kindness, playful sense of humor, fabulous dance moves, and devoted love of her family.
Janet is survived by her husband Don; son Brandon Mills (Maribeth); daughter Devon Pass (Aaron); beloved granddaughter Evelyn Pass; and siblings David Behrens (Sue) and Michael Behrens (Dianne). She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Bernie Jr. and Laura.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cogir of Bothell Memory Care and Continuum Care Hospice for their exceptional care and support.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, September 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 17856 NE Woodinville Duvall Road, Woodinville, Washington.
