Janet Marie Blumke

Janet Blumke (Gagnie), a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away surrounded by her family on June 27, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on November 19, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was a lifelong resident of Bloomington, Minnesota.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Edna Gagnie; brother, Jack; and son, David.
She loved spending time with her four grandchildren, going on exciting cruises, bowling, and going to Minnesota Vikings games.
Jan was married to her devoted husband, Gene, for an incredible 56 years. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared countless memories.
Besides her husband Gene, she leaves behind her daughter, Debra (Jon) Beckstrom; son, Brian; and her beloved grandchildren, Nate, Josh, Katie, and Jacob.
Jan's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a genuine connection to her family. The memories she created and the impact she had on those around her will forever be cherished.
The family will hold a funeral service to honor Jan's life on Tuesday, July 9, at 11 AM at Bloomington Lutheran Church, 9350 Portland Ave. Bloomington, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at the Bloomington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran Church.
