Janet Bohn Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 7, 2024.
Age 90, of Champlin, passed away peacefully on August 6th, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Kenneth; and son-in-law, Rob Blazek. She is survived by her four children, Jeanne (A-chan) Tamura, Julie Blazek, Mitchell (Jane) Bohn, and K.C. (Georgiann) Bohn; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Gwen, Bud (Terry), and Bob; and other relatives and friends. She loved her big family and was fondly known as "Granny" to her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Janet enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, going to her cabin, and playing cards. She generously put her love, talent, and time into many hand sewn creations - embroidered towels, Christmas pajamas, personalized pillows, cross-stitched gifts, and wedding dresses. She made such delicious food and spent time cooking and baking with her family, passing on her recipes. No one makes a sugar cookie like she did.
Janet had two double stuff Oreos with her coffee each day - perhaps one of the keys to a fulfilling and long life. She lived out her faith, was an active volunteer, avid word puzzle player, a beloved neighbor, the first one on and last one off the dance floor, a warm hugger, bright firecracker, and such a sweet soul.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Tuesday August 13, The Church of St. Gerard, 9600 Regent Ave N, Brooklyn Park. Visitation 10AM with luncheon to follow Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Firefly Sisterhood, a MN based Breast Cancer mentorship program.
