Janet Broyhill Obituary
Janet was born in Ohio and married her beloved husband Jim when she was 16. She was a loving mother of four children and was a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. Most of her adult life was spent in northern VA before she and Jim moved to Durham upon retirement. She loved her church and she enjoyed quilting She was known for Her spunk and desire to help others.
Mrs. Broyhill is survived by her daughters, Cindy Lou Broyhill, Debby Lee Clark and husband David; son, Douglas James Broyhill and wife Joy; grandchildren, Joshua Ballard and wife Nikole, Amanda Ballard, Jason Broyhill, Mary Broyhill, Emily Terrell and husband Noah, and Nathan Lewis; great grandchildren, Deven Ballard, Hannah Ballard, Malachi Ballard, and Kingston Brown; and sister, Shirrell Proffitt
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to service at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Rose of Sharon Baptist Church: 4109 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27712.
