Janet Coletti Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home - Medfield on Dec. 26, 2025.
JANET G. COLETTI

Age 73 passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025 after an almost two year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Victor F. Coletti of Medfield, MA, the treasured mother of Vanessa Roggenbuck of Norwell, MA and the loving Nana of Sam and Abby. She was a fiercely loyal and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Janet was born in Boston to Samuel Lincoln Squires and Gertrude Esther Squires (Thompson) on September 15, 1952. She grew up in Dorchester and when older lived in Brookline and Roslindale. She completed several college courses relating to financial management and administration, and in the early 1970's began working for a Boston-based environmental engineering firm. She eventually met her future husband Vic there where he worked as an environmental engineer. Vic and Janet were married in January, 1989 and were blessed with the birth of Vanessa in July, 1990. Janet was excellent at her job and was very well liked and respected. After the birth of Vanessa she retired and devoted her time to her family. After living in Quincy for a few years, Vic and Janet moved to Medfield where they lived happily for almost 30 years.

In 1994 Vic joined his family's commercial real estate business and Janet worked with him playing a key role in the growth and development of the business. She worked with him until very recently when she could no longer come to work. Vanessa joined the business in 2016 and has seamlessly taken over Janet's responsibilities.

Janet loved to read and her home is filled with books. She also loved needlepoint and several of hercreations decorate her home. She loved the cape especially sunsets. She will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to Vic, Vanessa, her son-in-law Peter Roggenbuck and her grandchildren, she is survived by her sister Linda Chartier of Franklin and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Richard Squires, and her sisters Joan Brown and Gail Hansen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 10 am to noon on Tuesday January, 6,2026 at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, Medfield, MA. A reception will follow at Brookmeadow Country Club, 100 Everendon Road in Canton.
