Janet "Eileen" Cullen

Janet "Eileen" Cullen, age 85, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Earleville, MD, passed away at home, peacefully, surrounded by her loving daughters on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Eileen was born in Milford, DE and she was the daughter of the late Donald Postles and Eleanor L. Kline. Eileen was a Domestic Engineer as she would say, as she raised 6 children. She participated in the Ducks Unlimited Organization with her husband Bill, and she played an active role in the Democratic party for Congressman Roy Dyson. Eileen loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they came to visit.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased in death by her husband, William B. Cullen Sr.; her brother, William A. Binkley; her favorite Uncle Bill and his wife, Mabel Emory; and the last love of her life, Harry G. "Sonny" Johnson. She is survived by her children, Deborah A. Cullen, James L. Cullen, Scott L. Cullen Sr., Christopher C. Cullen Sr., and Lynn Trent; her favorite son-in-law, Mitch Trent; her sisters, Carol Kline of Richland, PA and Shirley Rogers of Milford, DE; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Darnise, Delillah, Toni and her hospice caregivers Joe, Katrina, Devan and the Hospice Volunteers.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery, 428 Port Penn Road, Middletown, DE.
