Janet Lee Colson Cumbie, age 65, passed away on March 27, 2026. She was born November 12, 1960, in Columbus, Georgia.

Janet grew up in Tallahassee and worked for the Department of Revenue where she met her husband, Bill Cumbie. She retired after 30 years and enjoyed traveling to the beach, mountains, and to Biloxi where she was always eager to try her luck. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Janet was predeceased by her beloved son Johnny Lee Taylor, and mother and father, Mary Lee Colson and Billie F. Colson, Sr.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bill Cumbie, and children, Mary Lynn Wood (Billy) and Billie Jo Bryant; grandchildren, Taylor Beal, Hunter Beal, Lily Taylor, Colson Wood, Adicks Wood, and Ava Bryant; siblings, Beverly Brown and Billie Colson, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
