Janet Amy (Lindquist) Peterson Dailey, age 86, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, ND. Janet was born June 21, 1939, in Thief River Falls, MN, to Ame and Esther Lindquist. She graduated from Goodridge High School in 1957. On August 23, 1958, Janet married Duane (Swede) Peterson at Faith Lutheran Church in Goodridge, MN. Together they made their home in Thief River Falls. They enjoyed camping and fishing and family time at Lake of the Woods. Over the years, she worked at the Goodridge Hartz Store, Gambles, Border Drug and then LB Hartz Wholesale until retirement. Her husband, Duane, passed away in 1981, and she later met Frank Dailey. They were married on December 23, 1989. Janet and Frank made their home in Fargo, ND. They enjoyed playing golf and wintering in Harlington, TX. Janet was an excellent cook and baker. Her Christmas cookies were a family favorite. Most of all, however, Janet will be remembered for the love she had for her family, she thought the world of her grandsons and enjoyed the time spent together. She will be dearly missed.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Darrick) Wiskow; grandsons, Troy and Travis Wiskow; sister, Carol (Delaine) Johnson; brother, Kenneth Lindquist; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Duane (Swede) Peterson and Frank Dailey; her parents, Ame and Eshter Lindquist; and sister-in-law, Janet Lindquist.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, in Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
