Janet Dew

Janet was a childhood friend of mine..Several of our mothers would get-together to cook and have fun socializing with each other, while all of the young people were playing outside. I remember when her Dad, Brandon fell dead and how tragic that loss was for her, Juanita and Brad. Mom and Juanita remained friends and after Juanita remarried some years later our parents continued to be friends through the years. I lost touch with Janet after high school, but we reconnected on FB a couple of years ago and I was so glad to hear about her life. I was so very sorry to learn of her journey through cancer and I had hope she would overcome that terrible disease, as God has allowed me to do. She showed great strength and never seemed to give up her courageous fight to get well. She inspired me and others with her faith and her will to live. May she rest in peace. Lord, please be with all of her family throughout their grief.

Janet is a Christian in the most enviable sense of the word. She is exemplary.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Janet we shared the same aunt (Nettie Downing) and I know that she thought the world of Janet and Brad and talked about them both alot. Met her in passing at the Downing home sometimes and my brother Robert Downing went to Coffee with her. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Steve and all of her family. I knew Janet from Coffee High School and we reconnected on Facebook. She was a lovely person. Rest in peace, Janet.
