Janet B. Giebler

Janet B. Giebler, 89, of South Buffalo Township, died Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, in her home. She was born in Unity on Sept. 6, 1936, to the late Norman W. and Gladys J. Keaton Lott and had previously resided in Unity, New Kensington, and Upper Burrell before moving to South Buffalo Township. Mrs. Giebler was a member of Apollo Free Methodist Church and worked as a police communications operator for the Pennsylvania State Police until retiring in 1999. She enjoyed motorcycle road trips with her late husband, visiting Gettysburg, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Sheree Lynn (Jack) Collins of Allegheny Township and Lori Lee (David) Blythe of South Buffalo Township; grandchildren, Aimee (Dwayne) Eisman and Ashley Karcher; great-grandchildren, Avrael Karcher, Zian (Elizabeth) Zahir, Elam Eisman, Gideon Eisman, Dimitri Emswiler, and Dominic Emswiler; great-great-grandson, Wesson Zahir; sister, Joyce Mudd of Luray, VA; and twins, Kathy Roberts of John's Island, SC, and Ken (Sue) Lott of Erie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Dale Giebler Jr.; son, John Dale Giebler III; and grandson, Corey Emswiler.
