Janet Frances Gordon (Caffrey), 93, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born on June 15, 193,1 in Brooklyn, New York to Julia and Edward Caffrey. She grew up as an only child, losing her mom when she was 13 years old. You cannot pour into a few paragraphs what an amazing woman she was. She married her beloved husband, Warren, on January 7, 1951, and was married for 62 years, until his death in June of 2013. Their union produced six children, Bob, Warren, Diane, Jeanne, Phyllis and Carol. In 1957, they moved their family from Brooklyn, New York to Hazlet (Fleetwood Park), New Jersey. She loved her home and had a very busy life keeping all of her children in check. Life flew by and before you knew it there were many grandchildren in the mix. She had a deep faith and was a devout Catholic. She was loving, kind, supportive and caring. The doors to her home were always open to everyone. She loved her community at St. Anselm's in Tinton Falls, and had many friends there. She sang in the choir there for many years. She lived her life for her family. Janet welcomed every new spouse and every baby into her life and into her heart. She was 93 years old and had an amazing memory. Janet remembered the good, the bad, and the ugly. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Janet was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Julia (Ratigan) Caffrey, her beloved son Warren Gordon and devoted husband Warren Samuel Gordon. Janet is survived by her loving children, Bob Gordon of Tinton Falls, Diane Duncan (George) of Hazlet, Jeanne Gordon of Red Bank, Phyllis Francese (Eugene) of Little Neck, NY, Carol Eastmond (Edward) of Marlboro, her daughter in law Agnes Gordon of Brentwood. CA. Her eleven loving grandchildren Michael Duncan, Amanda Duncan, Jaime Lefler, Brandon Gordon, Emmalee Windt, Christopher Francese, Alexa Dusenbury, Edward Eastmond, Brian Eastmond, Christian Brown and Shelby Brown. Her great-grandchildren were the true loves of her life Annaclaire, Hunter, Samantha, Michael, Hazel, Hudson, Delainey, McCoy, Campbell, Hank, Hayden, Sarah, Seamus, Lincoln, Carter and Baby Dusenbury on the way in 2025.
We were blessed to have had her all these years. We will miss her FOREVER.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Janet from Church. I am so saddened by hearing this. My Joseph was born the same time as one of her Great Granddaughters. My mom Peggy Whiteside truly loved Janet and I was so comforted by Janet after my owe mother's passing. I pray for you all during this time. May your memories comfort you. Be kind to yourself Grief has no timetable. God Bless you all. Julie Koslowski

A devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother/great grandmother. How she loved to talk about each and everyone of them in our conversations. Aunt Janet was a woman who was loving, kind, gentle, hardworking and proud. She was a person filled with acceptance and tolerance for all, a very progressive woman for her age, damn near perfect! I was blessed to have her chosen to be my godmother, what a blessing. She never forgot my birthday or my children's every year cards, gifts and a phone call to mark the occasion for each of us. If I ever needed a shoulder to lean on she was their to listen. I will miss you sorely my sweet angel but our conversations will not end, I will still talk with you because I know in my heart you will still hear me.
