Jan and I were roommates at Barrington College for one semester and have been keeping in touch once or twice a year. She told me of her decision to opt out of chemo, etc. and avoid all the side effects. My husband made the same decision which preserved his quality of life. I know she has a loving family, for she talked of you often, and I know that you were there for her in her need. May you take comfort in the fact that she loved the Lord and is now with him. The Salvation Army would say she has been "promoted to glory."
May God bless and comfort you in the coming days.
