Janet Ann Harnish, 77, of Cheyenne, WY, passed away on August 29, 2025, after a courageous fight with a prolonged illness. Born on January 18, 1948, Janet was always a kid at heart, devoted animal lover, and treasured by so many.
Janet was cherished for her gentle spirit and deep dedication to her family and friends. She was a hair stylist for many, many years and one of the best around. Outside of work, Janet loved her kitties, bunnies, and birds that she cared for daily and spending time in her yard.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Leslie Kirk Harnish; her two sisters, Sherilyn (Alden) Prosser, Cindy Gagnon; brother-in-law, Ron Franzen; nieces, Lisa (Blayn) Tamlin, Lesley (David) Okamoto, Shelli Franzen, Kelly (Nathan) Franzen, Susan (Jason) McCaslin, Abby McCaslin; nephews, Troy Prosser, Todd (Charla) Prosser, Justin Knafelc, Alec McCaslin; and numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Kennedy and Louise Bartlett; daughter, Joelie Renee` Pando; sister-in-laws, Karri McCaslin and Karla Franzen.
A graveside service will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Cheyenne, WY onFriday, September 19, 2025 at 1 p.m.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the medical team at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for their exceptional care and support during Janet’s final days. Her life was a gift, her memory a blessing; she is deeply loved and will be forever missed.
