Janet Harper Obituary
Janet Marie Harper of Troy, Michigan passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Jane Harper was born on April 2, 1940 to James C. Chaffin and Albert S. Chaffin. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Janet met the love of her life – the neighbor across the street, James G. Harper. They were married in August 1962 and spent 47 years together before his death. Their inscription reads "every minute and always, our love will be forever."
She is survived by her sister, Jody Lawson, and her two brothers, James S. Chaffin and Charles Chaffin. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. She shared a close lifelong bond with her cousins Cathy Edwards and Carol MacRae.
Janet was a wonderful person, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be private at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Troy.
