Janet Hoopes Obituary
Janet Hoopes, a resident of Alpine and formerly of Thatcher, entered into eternal life Friday afternoon, September 22, 2023, at her residence, with her beloved husband, Doug, at her bedside. Janet was 77.
She was the sixth child born to Vance and Ruth (Morris) Marshall on December 3, 1945, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Janet leaves behind: her husband, Doug ; eight children, Cheryl Ward (Sam), Dawn Zogg (Murray), Lance (Susan), Jason (Teri), Holly Anway (Jared), Heath (Annie), Brett (Crystal) and Cory; her brothers, Sheff and Dan Marshall; twenty-nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Janet was predeceased by: her parents, Vance and Ruth Marshall; her sisters, Joy McBride and Linda Skaggs; and her brother, Morris Marshall.
Funeral services for Janet will be conducted Friday morning, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at the Thatcher Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Jay Larson of the Thatcher Third Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Thatcher Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday morning, October 6, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at the Thatcher Stake Center Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
