Janet Howe Obituary
Boscawen, NH - Janet Irene Howe, 85, died on September 4, 2023 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH. She was born on April 30, 1938 in East Concord, the daughter of Lawson and Jennie Merrill (Hewey)
She was the wife of Frederick Walter Howe Sr. They were married on February 16, 1957 in Concord, NH. They were married for 40 years prior to his death in 1997.
She worked as a custodian for 11 years at the Webster Elementary School in Webster, NH. She also worked for Beede Electric, and she was a housekeeper for over 40 years for several clients. She took much pride in all of her accomplishments.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, bingo, playing cards, and she had a love for frogs.
She was predeceased by 1 daughter, Betty Howe; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters. Janet was one of 12 siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Myers; brother, David Hewey; sister-in-law, Teresa Hewey; sister, Jean Mazza; nephew, James Hewey; granddaughters, Victoria Howe and Misty Walsh; grandson, James Howe; great-grandsons, James Marquis, Micah Prive, and Ira Prive; and several other family members.
Services: Memorial Visitation will be held from 4pm-6pm Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Cremation Society of NH, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Burial will follow at the Corser Hill Cemetery off of Allen Rd in Webster, NH.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to make a memorial contribution to Webster, NH Fire and Rescue.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Merrimack County Nursing Home for giving Janet the best care.

What a great lady. Janet and Fred Sr. Used to take care of me many times, when my parents were working. I remember so many great things, from driving Fred´s golf cart, to playing 31 with the family around the table in the kitchen. There´s so much I can remember of great times at their house. Janet will always remain in my thoughts. My deepest condolences.

My heartfelt condolences to the Howe´s I have so many fond memories of Janet she helped a lot in our home in the absence of a mother. She and Fred were wonder and I do remember them having warm family gatherings and card playing. I remember how devastate she was after the fire about losing the photographs of her family and Jeff when he was little. She was so loving to my sister and me. May she rest eternally in peace. She also always sent thoughtful Christmas cards to my Dad. She was indeed proud of her multitude of clients as she should have been.
